Payment method giropay is discontinued by provider

Dear customers, unfortunately, paydirekt GmbH – provider of the giropay payment system – has announced that it will discontinue its service at the end of 2024. To our great surprise, the interfaces to e-commerce systems like Shopify were already discontinued mid-year. This means that as of June 28, payments via giropay will no longer be possible with us either.

Unfortunately, there is currently no alternative to the current giropay, as the planned successor system WERO will unfortunately not be introduced until July 2024 and its availability within shopping systems has not yet been announced with an exact date.

We regret any inconvenience this may cause. However, this is beyond our control. Customers who have previously paid via giropay are asked to choose one of our other payment methods.
